The Physical And Chemical Properties Of Dichlorvos
Aug 01, 2018

The pure product is a colorless to amber liquid with a slight aromatic taste. The preparation is a light yellow to yellowish-brown oily liquid, which decomposes slowly in the aqueous solution, accelerates decomposition in the presence of alkali, stabilizes heat and corrodes iron. Toxic to humans and animals, high toxicity to fish, highly toxic to bees.

Main ingredients: content: 80.0%, 50.0% cream; 20% plastic retardant.

Appearance and properties: the pure product is a colorless, aromatic liquid with volatile properties.

Melting point (℃) : 60 ℃

Boiling point (℃) : 74 (133.3 Pa, 1 MMHG).

Relative density (water = 1) : 1.415 (25 ℃).

Stability and reactivity: stable to heat but able to hydrolyze.

Dangerous characteristics: in the case of open fire, high - heat combustible. Decomposition by heat releases toxic gases of phosphorus oxide and chloride.

Solubility: the solubility in water at room temperature is about 10g/L, and it can dissolve 2% ~ 3% in kerosene, which can be mixed with most organic solvents and aerosol propellants.
