Use role



1. Due to the special activity of silicon-halogen bonds, trimethylchlorosilane can be used to synthesize a series of organosilicon compounds with silicon-functional group structure, such as trimethylalkoxylsilane, hexamethyldisiloxane, hexamethyldisiloxane, trimethylcyanolane, etc.



2. Trimethylchlorosilane is an excellent reagent that introduces trimethylsilyl into organic molecules, and can be used as the protective group of hydroxyl, carboxyl, amino and other functional groups. The reaction of joining and removing trimethylsilyl, with high yield, mild condition and wide application range, has been widely used in organic synthesis.



3. Some biochemical samples obtained silane derivatives through reaction with trimethylchlorosilane, which has great volatility, enabling the gas chromatography analysis of biochemical samples to be realized.



4. Trimethylchlorosilane is used as the head sealant of organosilicon polymer to regulate the molecular weight of the polymer, especially in the production of silicon oil.
