Bendamustine is a bifunctional alkylated agent with antitumor and cytotoxic effects. Developed in the early 1860s by Ozegowski and his colleagues at the society for microbial experimentation in jena, Germany. This product of antitumor and kill cells function main mechanism for the single-stranded and double-stranded DNA through alkylation of crosslinking, it upset the function of DNA and DNA synthesis, also can make between DNA and proteins, and produces crosslinking between protein and protein, which play a role of anti-tumor. This product alone or combination with other antitumor drugs to treat such as Hodgkin's disease, non-hodgkin's lymphoma, plasma cell tumor, multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), breast cancer and other malignant tumors.
